Most of the colourful ceramics we carry — kitchenware, flower pots, wall décor and house numbers — come from Dolores Hidalgo in Guanajuato, a town known for its hand-painted pottery, tiles and house-number plaques. Every piece is painted by hand, so no two are exactly alike.

This sky blue mini pot has a conica shape and is decorated with touches of green, red and white. Every step of the painting and glazing is done by hand, so each pot is unique.
It is made by artisans trained in Talavera pottery in the Dolores Hidalgo region of Mexico. Two types of clay from Puebla are mixed, strained and kneaded before each pot is shaped on a wheel or in a mould.
A drainage hole in the base and a durable glazed finish make it suitable for plants indoors and outdoors.
