Dolores Hidalgo Ceramics · Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato

Most of the colourful ceramics we carry — kitchenware, flower pots, wall décor and house numbers — come from Dolores Hidalgo in Guanajuato, a town known for its hand-painted pottery, tiles and house-number plaques. Every piece is painted by hand, so no two are exactly alike.

Product details

This Talavera-style folk art serving set is glazed in warm orange with white dots around the rims and painted by hand with floral designs in red-orange, cobalt blue, yellow, sky blue and white. Its six pieces – a large square serving dish, four removable square bowls with a curved inner corner and a small round centre bowl – fit together as one platter or work separately.

It is made by traditionally trained artisans and sourced from local traders in the region of Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico. Hand painting means colour and pattern vary slightly from one set to the next.

Serve finger foods, appetisers, crisps and dips at parties, or make it the centrepiece of the dining table. Wash gently by hand; not dishwasher safe.
