This square mini flower pot has a bright red rim and edges framing hand-painted floral panels in yellow, blue, orange, green, purple and pink, above a band of coloured triangles. Every step of the painting and glazing is done by hand, and a hole in the base lets water drain away.
It is made by artisans trained in traditional Talavera techniques: two types of clay from the Puebla region are mixed, filtered and kneaded, and the pot is then built on a wheel or in a mould. It comes from a small business in the Dolores Hidalgo region.
Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, it brings a Mexican touch to any room or garden. As each pot is painted by hand, no two are exactly alike.
