A practical piece for the kitchen, this Talavera-style spoon rest is painted in many bright colours. Keep it beside the oven for your cooking spoons, or hang it on the wall by the hole in its handle; its flat base keeps it stable on the worktop.
Traditionally trained artisans from Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico, shape, paint and glaze every piece by hand in the vivid colours associated with the region. It comes from small retailers and independent artists.
Being handmade, no two finishes are exactly the same. Wipe clean only, as it is not dishwasher safe. A thoughtful gift for a housewarming or a wedding.
