This blue and orange rug is hand-woven in Oaxaca, Mexico, from 100% sheep’s wool. Two large peach-orange stepped medallions sit on a royal blue ground, framed by sky blue bands of small multicoloured diamonds and fine stripes of red, purple and orange, with fringed ends.
The locally sourced fleece is spun on a traditional wheel, the yarn is coloured with organic dyes, and the rug is then woven on a loom. This construction makes it very durable.
It is sturdy enough for busy areas: use it as a runner in a hallway or kitchen, as a cosy layer in the living room, or as a meditation rug in a quiet space. Dry clean or hand wash only; not suitable for washing machines or tumble dryers.
