Most of the colourful ceramics we carry — kitchenware, flower pots, wall décor and house numbers — come from Dolores Hidalgo in Guanajuato, a town known for its hand-painted pottery, tiles and house-number plaques. Every piece is painted by hand, so no two are exactly alike.

This deep Talavera-style serving dish has a scalloped dark blue rim around a patchwork of hand-painted panels: burgundy flowers with turquoise centres, fans of orange, turquoise, red and green, and a lattice dotted in blue and red.
It is made by hand by independent artisans in Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico, using traditional techniques, so no two dishes are identical.
With a diameter of 17 cm and a deep shape, it is good for serving and sharing dishes from salads to casseroles. It is dishwasher safe.
