Most of the colourful ceramics we carry — kitchenware, flower pots, wall décor and house numbers — come from Dolores Hidalgo in Guanajuato, a town known for its hand-painted pottery, tiles and house-number plaques. Every piece is painted by hand, so no two are exactly alike.

This Talavera-style ashtray is hand-painted in vibrant red, green and yellow. Its deep dish holds several cigarettes and their ash without spilling, for personal or social use.
Made from locally sourced clay, it is moulded, painted and glazed by hand by skilled artisans in the region of Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico, so no two are identical.
