Most of the colourful ceramics we carry — kitchenware, flower pots, wall décor and house numbers — come from Dolores Hidalgo in Guanajuato, a town known for its hand-painted pottery, tiles and house-number plaques. Every piece is painted by hand, so no two are exactly alike.

A black and white floral design, painted by hand, decorates this Talavera-style butter dish and its lid. Made in the fashion of traditional Talavera pottery and finished with a glaze, it puts a little kitsch on the kitchen counter.
