This Talavera-style mini flower pot has a round rim and sides that taper towards the base. It is hand-painted with bold floral motifs in dark blue and lighter blue on a white glaze, picked out with white dots.
It is crafted by artisans trained in the traditional practice of Talavera pottery, in the art form native to the region of Dolores Hidalgo. Two types of clay from the Puebla region are mixed, filtered and kneaded, and the pots are made on a wheel or in a mould, then painted and glazed entirely by hand, so each one is unique.
It has a drainage hole in the bottom, and the durable material makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, whether in a room or in the garden.
