This Talavera-style spoon rest is painted with a light blue flower and red and green scrolls on an orange ground. Its flat base keeps it steady beside the oven, and the hole in the handle means it can also hang on the wall as decoration.
Each one is shaped, painted and glazed by hand by traditionally trained artisans from the local area of Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico, and comes from small retailers and independent artists.
As it is made by hand, the design and colour of the finish vary a little. Wipe clean; not dishwasher safe. It makes a nice gift for a new home or a wedding.
