Dolores Hidalgo Ceramics · Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato

Most of the colourful ceramics we carry — kitchenware, flower pots, wall décor and house numbers — come from Dolores Hidalgo in Guanajuato, a town known for its hand-painted pottery, tiles and house-number plaques. Every piece is painted by hand, so no two are exactly alike.

Product details

Inspired by the flowered crown and eyebrows made famous by the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, this Talavera-style mug is decorated with intricate flowers, butterflies and a vibrant leaf motif.

It is hand-painted by artisans in the region of Dolores Hidalgo. Each mug is moulded, painted and glazed by hand from locally sourced clay, so the pattern and colour vary slightly. All our mugs are sourced from independent retailers.

It holds 0.5 L, ideal for a variety of hot drinks, and makes a lovely gift for art lovers. Wash by hand with gentle soap to keep the paintwork in good condition.
