This Talavera-style espresso cup comes with a matching saucer. Both are hand-painted with bold red and orange flowers on a dark blue and lime green ground, with touches of yellow and turquoise, and the inside of the cup is glazed white.
Traditionally trained artisans in the region of Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico, shape, paint and glaze every cup, and it comes from an independently run business. Because each is finished by hand, the shape, colour and pattern can vary slightly from those shown.
With a capacity of 0.08 L, it is made for a morning espresso, and it is a charming gift for a housewarming or wedding. Hand wash only.
