This Talavera-style Champanera flower pot is finished in white with a dark blue trim and floral design, painted and glazed entirely by hand.
It is made by artisans trained in the traditional practice of Talavera pottery. Two types of clay from the region of Puebla are mixed, strained and kneaded, and each pot is shaped on a wheel or in a mould. It is sourced from a small business in the region of Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico.
A hole in the base lets water drain, and the durable material makes it suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
